At One Point I Had Let Myself Go…

I didn’t expect to be blogging again so soon but I read something interesting today that I thought I’d share with you.

I was reading a book written in 1902 (as you do). It’s called “As a man thinketh” by James Allen.

Here is what I found interesting…Page 44…

“Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment. With the majority the bark of thought is allowed to “drift” upon the ocean of life. Aimlessness is a vice, and such drifting must not continue for him who would steer clear of catastrophe and destruction”

From a health and fitness perspective this translates to “If you let your self go you could end up fat or sick or both”

At one point I was heading in that direction until one day I asked myself a powerful question…

Do I want to spend my leisure time between sitting on the sofa eating crap watching mind numbing social control propaganda and living for alcohol at the weekend whilst becoming a victim to preventable and reversible chronic disease for the rest of my life, or is there another option that might be better?
